The shack — oscilloscopes, analyzers, and too many BNC cables

Hi, I'm Tony Albus

The Test Equipment Addict on YouTube — a channel for Gear heads, dedicated to GPSDOs, frequency counters, test & measurement gear, and the kind of bench work that turns curiosity into understanding.

My background spans hands-on electronics, precision time & frequency, and a lifelong fascination with GPSDOs, frequency counters, and the vintage HP instruments that still define the benches.

Ham Radio

I'm a licensed amateur radio operator (HAM). The shack and the lab share a lot of the same gear — and a lot of the same questions. How flat is that filter? Can this old analyzer still earn its keep? You'll see plenty of crossover between ham projects and test-bench reviews on the channel.

Why This Channel?

Test equipment can be intimidating and expensive. I make videos that demystify the gear — how to use it, what to look for when buying, how to repair it, and how to get meaningful measurements without guessing. No fluff, just signals. But most of all just Fun!
